Due to an unprecedented spend in Canadian defence construction, Graham is actively recruiting a Project Director to support the Buildings Division in Ontario. This role represents an exciting early-stage opportunity to pursue and construct a portfolio of work that will help Canada improve its future in National Defence. Reporting to the District Manager, the role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who has delivered complex ICI projects from start to finish. The Project Director will be a skilled team builder, communicator, and stakeholder manager who is committed to building and strengthening both internal and external relationships. With the unique opportunity to help grow a team and a business, this role will focus on strengthening the diversity of our growing portfolio of work while partnering with an incredible client in support of growing Canada’s defence systems across Eastern Canada
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Lead Complex Projects – Deliver ICI projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage Contracts & Budgets – Oversee resources, costs, and compliance with contract terms.
- Build Stakeholder Relationships – Foster strong partnerships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
- Guide Project Teams – Set performance metrics, provide oversight, and ensure operational excellence.
- Drive Growth – Represent Graham externally, negotiate effectively, and pursue new business opportunities
The Right Tools for the Job
- Education: Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 18+ years of direct construction project management experience in the buildings sector, with proven success on complex projects.
- Skills: Expertise in construction methods, contract types (CCDC2, CCDC5, CCDC30), stakeholder management, budgeting, scheduling, and proficiency with MS Office and project management software
Compensation
- Compensation aligned to education and experience, ensuring fair and competitive placement
- Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience
