Reporting to the Systems Sr. Project Manager and Systems Project Manager, the Systems Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting OMC4 Systems in Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) construction activities. This role will include coordination of multiple subcontractors and vendors on Project-compliant design and construction process, deliverable, products, and material. The successful candidate will work with Subcontractors, suppliers, Client and Engineer of Record (EOR) to expedite reviews, facilitating conflict and issue resolution. They are also expected to resolve conflicts with other facilities and civil Subtrade within OMC4 project.
Responsibilities:
You will work with Graham team, including more senior Project Managers, Coordinators, Superintendent and other team members on the OMC4 project. You will be coordinating in a variety of functions related to the construction of railway operation and maintenance facilities. A few key involvement and responsibilities include:
- Be part of Systems team handling multiple sub-systems including Power Supply & Distribution, Communications, and interface to Train Control system as part of SkyTrain network.
- Monitor and collaborate Systems design submittals from vendors and suppliers through the Subcontractors for shop drawing, pre-installation and verification and validation record submission (PICO, test procedures, test reports) for review and comment internally and to the Client and EOR.
- Coordinate in tracking progress of Systems related Request for Information (RFI), Field Modification Instruction (FMI), Work Method Statement (WMS), implementation and its record in InEight (Project Electronic Document Management Systems). Follows up on documentation detail design/shop drawing approvals to avoid construction activity schedule impacts.
- Maintain and keep up to date InEight systems for Systems record documents, Fieldwire application for construction progress.
- Provide support to users in accessing electronic information.
- Coordinate the Systems configuration items and quality review and submission.
- Coordination of Subcontract’s progress report, meeting notes, and quality and project safety process.
- Assist the Systems Project Manager in managing Subcontractor’s progress draw, invoices supporting document review and project schedule progress update.
Education/ Qualifications:
- General understanding of Quality Management Systems and Systems processes.
- Engineering or related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience (3 - 5 years)
- Ability to read and understand technical reports, specifications and design drawings and documents.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high quality results to agreed budget and schedule.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, InEight, Fieldwire, Propeller, Primavera 6 will be considered as assets.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Well organized, self-starter.
- Experience in Vancouver SkyTrain Systems is a plus.
- Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical or DC Power Distribution experience is a plus.
- Able to manage priorities to ensure deliverables are accurate, consistent, current and timely. Muti tasking ability is expected
Compensation:
- 80,000 – 115,00 per annum, commensurate with education and experience
