We are currently seeking Senior Estimators, particularly with Healthcare Facility expertise to join our Buildings Division in British Columbia.  The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of medical construction requirements and industry regulations to ensure successful project bidding and execution.  This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Buildings Division.

 

 

Jardeg (Graham's Chosen Recruitment Partner) is recruiting Superintendents with Hospital, Healthcare or Age Home Care Facilities experience for various project sites within the Province of British Columbia. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Buildings Division. 

 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Estimator of our BC Buildings Group, our Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading high complexity project pursuits, as well as determining project scopes, accurate quantifying / costing, managing deadlines, and mentoring the more junior team members.  

 

As a Senior Estimator at Graham you will:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide variety of projects, including healthcare and hospital construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and cost implications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Lead the bid close on projects.
  • Develop scopes of work for subcontractors.
  • Select and invite to tender trade partners that are assessed to be financially viable with adequate manpower and appropriate level of expertise to complete the work.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders that reflect and support Graham core values.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Specific experience with estimating buildings construction projects in Hospital, Healthcare or Age Home Care Facilities is required
  • Completion of a diploma or degree in a related post-secondary program.
  • 7+ years of a combination of field and estimating experience; design-build experience and proficiency in a variety of general procurement methods is an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of Graham software suite, MS Excel, scheduling software (Primavera preferred), quantification software (such as OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Agtek), and BIM modelling is an asset.
  • Ability to develop less experienced estimators’ skills through mentoring, teaching and training.
  • Ability to foster and develop relationships with clients, trades, and team members.
