Your Impact Starts Here 

Graham is actively recruiting for an Accounting Clerk to support the Infrastructure Division. Reporting to the Assistant Regional Operations Controller, this role provides accounting and transactional support for transit and heavy civil construction projects. The Accounting Clerk ensures compliance with contractual terms, union agreements, and tax legislation.

 

Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site 

  • Support Accounting Processes – Assist with transactional accounting, month-end procedures, and project cost controls.
  • Manage Contracts & Billings – Administer subtrade contracts and ensure accurate, timely progress billings.
  • Handle Timekeeping & Reporting – Process time entries, generate LEMS reports, and maintain compliance with labor standards.
  • Assist with Receivables – Support collections, deposits, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Ensure Compliance – Uphold contractual, tax, and internal control requirements across projects.

 

The Right Tools for the Job 

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, project administration, or contract administration, with at least 2 years in a general contracting environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting and job costing principles; proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel

 

Compensation

  • Salary Range $49,000 to $65,000 per annum
  • Salary will commensurate with education and experience
  • 3 to 5 weeks of vacation per year, with credit for prior industry experience
