About the Role 

Graham is seeking a Senior HSE Coordinator to support the Services Division at our site in Superior, WI. Reporting to the Senior Regional HSE Manager, this role serves as the on-site safety lead and primary subject-matter expert. You will guide project teams, collaborate with clients, oversee safety reporting and documentation, and mentor HSE staff. You will also support division-wide initiatives through safety updates and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

 

As a Senior HSE Coordinator at Graham, you will:

  • Lead on-site HSE operations, taking responsibility for personal health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as that of workers, direct reports, visitors, and the public.
  • Conduct project-specific safety orientations for all workers and visitors prior to commencement of work.
  • Manage and support Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across multiple sites to ensure consistent regulatory and company compliance.
  • Complete regular site and project inspections (independently and jointly with Superintendents and workers) to identify hazards, verify compliance, and drive corrective actions.
  • Confirm equipment inspections are completed, deficiencies are documented, and corrective actions are followed up.
  • Identify hazards, report noncompliant conditions to the appropriate Superintendent or Supervisor, and support resolution.
  • Support and participate in incident investigations, review incident reports, and maintain monthly statistics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspection reports, incident reports, meeting minutes, SDSs, emergency response plans, bulletins, and notices.
  • Confirm emergency response plans (ERP) and related documents are posted, communicated, and understood by workers through ongoing observations.
  • Arrange, conduct, and/or support HSE training for workers, Supervisors, HSE Coordinators, and project teams; mentor personnel on safety processes and best practices.
  • Attend and actively participate in HSE meetings and safety reviews.
  • Serve as the primary HSE point of contact for clients and regulatory bodies, providing updates, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues using a hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrate and promote HSE and Quality leadership behaviors aligned with corporate expectations, including Actively Caring and Road to Zero principles.
  • Drive continuous improvement in site safety performance through proactive leadership, engagement, and trend analysis.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school. 
  • Certification in Health and Safety, or a safety designation is an asset. 
  • 3–5 years of safety or related field experience, with demonstrated capability in leading or mentoring others
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and general constructability; proven leadership and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office and online reporting platforms

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $45-$50, depending on experience
