Graham is actively recruiting for a Senior Design Manager supporting the Buildings Division. Reporting to the Senior Design Director, this role leads design management for major building projects in Ontario, driving execution of complex strategies and delivering innovative, high-quality solutions for landmark projects such as state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Lead Design Delivery – Execute design strategies and ensure compliance across major projects.
- Manage Risks & Efficiency – Mitigate design risks and optimize cost and constructability.
- Build and Guide Team – Mentor a high-performing design management team.
- Oversee Consultants & Coordination – Ensure timely, accurate deliverables and manage clash detection.
- Maintain Design Standards – Audit documents and lead Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC).
The Right Tools for the Job
- Education: Degree in Engineering or Architecture; LEED, PMP, and P.Eng. certifications are assets.
- Experience: 15+ years in construction design management with proven success on complex projects, ideally healthcare or long-term care facilities.
- Skills: Expertise in Design-Build methods, BIM tools, Navisworks (3D & 4D) and REVIT
Compensation
- Salary will commensurate with education and experience
- 3 to 5 weeks of vacation per year, with credit for prior industry experience
