Graham is actively recruiting a Senior Construction Design Manager for the Buildings Division, reporting to the Senior Design Director, this role supports a rapidly growing region delivering some of the country’s most complex and high-profile building projects.

 

This role leads and develops a construction design management team while driving excellence across technically complex projects, including healthcare facilities, laboratories and research environments, major transit hubs, food processing facilities, and large-scale, mission-critical buildings.

 

Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site 

  • Provide end-to-end leadership of the design process from pursuit through project completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing construction design management team across complex building projects
  • Act as the central point of coordination between design, construction, consultants, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and smooth execution
  • Oversee design coordination and reviews to deliver construction-ready, compliant, and high-quality design solutions.
  • Guide decisions related to risk, cost, sequencing, and design impacts to enable successful delivery of technically complex projects

 

The Right Tools for the Job 

  • Education & Professional Credentials: Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; LEED, PMP, or P.Eng. designations are strong assets
  • Experience & Delivery Environment: 15+ years of experience in construction design management or project delivery, with proven leadership on large, technically complex building projects in Design‑Build or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) environments.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of BIM/VDC systems and MEIT coordination; proven ability to lead teams, align stakeholders, and drive clear decision‑making on complex projects.

 

Compensation

  • Salary Range $160,000 to $200,000 per annum
  • Compensation aligned to education and experience, ensuring fair and competitive placement
  • Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience
