We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Infrastructure division and build innovative projects in the transit and transportation sectors, such as roads, highways/freeways, bridges, interchanges, LRTs, BRTs, and airports. About the Role

The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance and rebuilds on these units. Maintenance will include work on brake systems, engines, power trains, steering and suspension systems and electrical and fuel systems.  


As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will:

  • Inspect bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy construction equipment for proper performance, and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
  • Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on our equipment

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License
  • Have at least 5 years of experience with off road construction equipment, field trucks and support equipment
  • Have troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Have written communication skills to complete daily service reports
