About the Role:

 

Moltz Construction Inc. is looking for a Safety Manager to support a project in Henderson, Colorado, approximately 30 minutes north of Silverthorne. The project is a $39M water treatment plant consisting of extensive excavation, concrete, interior piping, and equipment work. The project is scheduled to last for last 28 months.

 

 

As a Safety Manager at Moltz Construction Inc., you will:

 

  • Integrate into Moltz's safety culture and demonstrate proficiency in construction safety practices
  • Prior experience with OSHA and MSHA regulations is preferred
  • Lead daily safety meetings to reinforce workplace safety standards and protocols
  • Develop and oversee daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) in coordination with site supervisors
  • Monitor, collect, and maintain safety-related documentation from crews and subcontractors
  • Conduct routine site inspections, including managing and coordinating subcontractor safety walks on a weekly basis
  • Perform and document monthly inspections of ladders, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and other safety equipment
  • Maintain accurate crew training records, including 5023 forms and relevant training logs
  • Oversee inventory and distribution of safety supplies, such as vests, safety glasses, and gloves, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Collaborate with the Henderson Safety Team as needed to align with company-wide safety initiatives
  • Lead by example, and demonstrate a positive HSE attitude
  • Conduct reports, inspections, and lead training sessions
  • Facilitate involvement with relevant external partnerships related to workplace health, safety and, environment
  • Support internal and external assessments of the HSE Management System

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Diploma or Certificate in HSE and/or related education or equivalency
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and/or MSHA standards is preferred 
  • MSHA experience/training is preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in construction and 2 years in safety management-related field preferred 
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Analyzes complex problems to find integrated, actionable and pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills, with focus on attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

  • Salary- $75K - $80K per annum based on experience
