About The Role:

 

Reporting to the District Manager - Infrastructure East, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing oversight to projects and staff in the project manager, coordinator, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions. The role may involved both Project Execution and Project Pursuits ona variety of contract types including, Lump-sum, Design/Build, IPD and Construction Management

 

As a Senior ­­­­­­­­Project Manager at Graham you will:

  • Assist or lead the pursuit of new work and/or manage one or more active projects
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with the client
  • Ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
  • Assist, review and negotiate contracts; liaising with legal counsel, as appropriate, in conjunction with the District Manager or Operational Leadership
  • Develop, recommend and implement the project plan, for awarded projects
  • Participate in Pre-Construction when needed while liasing with Design Management, Estimating and Quality
  • Coach/mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to you
  • Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project life-cycle
  • Review each project’s progress with the project staff as the project proceeds
  • Act to resolve disputes between the Company and owner, or Company and subcontractors, when needed while mentoring more junior staff throughout the process
  • Identify required and optional changes in project scope, negotiate change orders with the owner and participate in value engineering as required

 

Qualifications/experience: 

  • Civil or Structural engineering degree or equivalent training and experience
  • 15+ years of experience working in General Contracting
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety)
