About the role
Graham is currently looking for a Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) Lead for our Maintenance & Turnaround division. Reporting to the Lead Safety Manager, this position will be located in Superior, Wisconsin. Responsible for the safety, health, environmental protection affecting our employees, projects, and clients. Develop and manage SH&E programs for the company, business lines, regions, and/or clients. Provides leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives. Assists the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations e.g. trained SH&E professionals in business/projects, officer duties, statutory reporting etc.
As an SH&E Lead at Graham, you will:
- Under minimal direction supervises personnel engaged in the ES&H functions within the company or on the same project
- Implements policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with ES&H requirements of the organization
- Supervises personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing hazards and diseases that could be present throughout the work sites
- Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to ensure regulatory standards are being enforced
- Ensures that quality control procedures are executed to monitor all aspects of regulations
- Serves in a liaison capacity with the resident contract agency representative and other various agencies engaged in promoting environmental safety and health activities
- Drafts all necessary reports to Federal, State and Local agencies
- Coordinates audits of ES&H programs within the organization
- Keeps informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations. Assists in the development and conducts basic ES&H training to employees
- Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance
- May administer an ES&H program on a large, specialized, complex project or multiple projects
Qualifications & Experience
- BA/BS + 4 Years of Relevant Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience in Site safety officer roles in Oil & Gas or Maintenance Industry
- Must be willing to be onsite at Client location
- Available to work night shift
- Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain
- Variable environmental conditions include heat, dusts, noise, and chemicals
- Position will include conducting field work and wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection
- Comply with standard pre-employment DISA background check, hair follicle, and 10 panel drug screen.
