Graham is actively recruiting for a Project Controls Coordinator to support the Industrial Division in a site‑based role. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Project Controls Coordinator provides frontline support to project teams by tracking and maintaining project costs (labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors), ensuring accurate cost coding and allocation, and supporting weekly and monthly cost reporting, reconciliations, and forecast updates. The successful candidate will work closely with project controls, accounting, schedulers, and project managers to ensure cost reporting is accurate, consistent, and supports timely, informed decision‑making.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Support Project Cost Tracking and Reporting: Assist in tracking project costs related to labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, and support the preparation of weekly and monthly cost reports to ensure accurate financial visibility
- Maintain Accurate Cost Data and Coding: Ensure project costs are correctly coded and allocated in line with company standards and project structures by collecting, organizing, validating, and reviewing cost data from multiple sources
- Assist with Forecasting and Budget Updates: Support the updating of forecasts, cost projections, and basic budget adjustments as project scope, progress, and conditions change
- Analyze and Support Cost Variance Explanations: Work with project teams to gather supporting information, review data for discrepancies, and help explain cost variances and key changes in project performance
- Collaborate with Project Controls and Project Teams: Work closely with project controls, accounting, schedulers, and project managers, using tools such as Excel, SAP, and InEight, to ensure cost reporting is accurate, consistent, and aligned with project progress
The Right Tools for the Job
Education & Experience: Post‑secondary degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 1–3 years of experience in project controls, cost control, or a project‑based construction/industrial environment
Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills with experience handling large datasets; familiarity with SAP and concepts behind Earned Value Management (EVM); (Power Query, Power BI, or InEight (Control & Plan) considered an asset)
Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, and professionalism when working with financial data
