Compensation and Benefits:

 

  • Salary- $35.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience.
  • Per diem and company housing is provided.
  • $0.00 Premium Health Care, Vision, and Dental options are available.

About the Role:

 

Moltz Construction Inc. is looking for an Earthwork Foreman to support an expansion project of an existing Mine Water Discharge Treatment Plant located approximately 5 miles south of the I-70 Copper Mountain Exit and 15 miles north of Leadville, in Climax, Colorado. The project consists of extensive earthmoving, grading, excavation, concrete, interior piping, and equipment work. The project is scheduled to last for 2+ years.

 

As an Earthwork Foreman at Moltz, you will:

 

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on water and heavy concrete construction projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, and loaders, or supervise equipment operators.
  • Ensure equipment is operated efficiently, maintained, and repaired as needed.
  • and grading activities.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.

 

 Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Several years of experience in construction earthwork, with a proven track record of leadership.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and knowledge of earthwork techniques.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work overtime including nights and weekends if required to meet project schedule.
