We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Corporate Services team and support our construction operations by applying your expertise to various Corporate Services business initiatives. About the Role:
At Graham, we recognize that managing risk is a critical function of executing successful construction projects. As a member of the risk management team, the Senior Risk Advisor will actively contribute to the implementation of sound risk management practices, including the use of appropriate insurance and surety bonds to ensure compliance and mitigate both corporate and project risks.
What You’ll Do:
Reporting to our Director, Risk, your responsibilities will include:
Insurance and Surety Program Administration
- Review prime contracts and tender documents with a focus on insurance and surety bonding requirements
- Coordinate the placement of project specific insurance policies and surety bonds that meet contractual obligations and mitigate risk for the company
- Work collaboratively with the project teams to understand their needs throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Review insurance binders, policies, certificates, surety bonds and invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with respect to our programs, processes and tools, and provide input on solutions
- Support the management and administration of our corporate insurance program
Forging Strong Relationships
- Maintain strong relationships and open communication with internal project teams
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with external insurance and surety providers.
- Respond to ad hoc requests regarding insurance and surety related matters
Training and Development
- Actively promote awareness of risk management practices and procedures
- Proactively identify learning opportunities and support the development of materials to address

Your Education, Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 7-8 years’ experience in property and casualty insurance and/or construction risk management
- CIP, FCIP or CRM designation
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, risk management or insurance would be an asset
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
