Graham is actively recruiting for a Project Controls Specialist supporting the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Controls Specialist plays a key role in supporting, leading and controlling initiatives and recognizing areas of concern, providing advice to support the needs of the business. The Project Controls Specialist supports projects to follow Graham practice and optimizes the use of Project Controls tools, as well as representing the first level of escalated tickets.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Maintain core project control structures including Work Breakdown Structure, work packages, control accounts, and cost breakdowns.
- Establish and manage cost control baselines by uploading estimates and ensuring budgets align with project and corporate requirements.
- Lead cost monitoring and earned value tracking by updating actual costs, installed quantities, and performance metrics.
- Support change management and quantity surveying to ensure accurate inputs for schedule progress and EVMS.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports including variances, forecasts (ETC/EAC), and performance indices.
- Collaborate with project leaders (PMs, planners, site management) to time‑phase budgets, address variances, and support invoicing and project control deliverables.
The Right Tools for the Job
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in construction. Experience across multiple project controls functions (cost, schedule, planning, document management), with a strong understanding of project lifecycles and construction workflows. Software implementation or system testing experience considered an asset.
- Software: Proficiency with MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required. Experience with Project Controls software and Primavera P6, InEight Project Suite modules.
