About the role:

 

Reporting to the M&E Manager, the M&E Specialist works within our Shared Services group providing their expertise across the business in challenging, complex projects with various delivery models such as Design-Build, P3, IPD, or CM. You will be responsible for providing assistance to Project Managers, Superintendents and other project stakeholders in the coordination, scheduling, quantifying of materials/resources, reporting, and quality control functions of a project.

 

 

As a M&E Specialist at Graham, you will:

 

  • Perform a variety of duties including but not limited to administrative duties, update schedules and budgets, maintain cost control, and monitor labor material and equipment activities specific to the M&E scope of the project(s).
  • Monitor project change management process, identify change events, submit change notices, track changes and optional changes in project scope, and present to the Project Manager when required
  • Assist with drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions and change orders
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with the establishment of a cost reporting system, monitor and review project cost components regularly
  • Assist and monitor payroll functions to ensure the project team is using proper codes and cost allocation
  • Build effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support Graham’s core values.
  • Ensure responsibility for own health and safety, and that of other workers, site visitors, the community, and the environment in line with client and OHS requirements, and all applicable government laws and regulations
  • Review the Field Surveillance Reports and initiate NCRs based on analysis and severity of findings
  • Monitor, measure and document HSE and Quality goals and expectations using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Review, approve and close out all incidents to support Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and feedback for the HSE MS
  • Ensure that Project Quality Risk Assessment (PQRA) is conducted for the project upon award of project contract

 

 

Qualifications/ Experience:

 

  •  
  • Completion of a Engineering related Degree or Diploma training program preferably in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline  
  • Minimum of 7 years of M&E experience with a General Contractor
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Primavera, OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam and BIM modelling is considered an asset
