We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Learning & Development Advisor to join our team! In this role, you will support both organizational and individual growth by designing and delivering meaningful, learner-centered solutions. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, business leaders, and employees to build learning programs that integrate adult learning principles, career development pathways, and our competency framework.
This role will be the key point of contact for career development resources, supporting employees and leaders in aligning growth opportunities with organizational priorities. At the same time, you will contribute broadly to the design and delivery of training programs across technical, professional, and leadership domains.
Key Responsibilities
Career Development and Competency Frameworks
- Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for career development tools, frameworks, and resources
- Partner with employees to integrate Graham's competency framework into career paths and development planning
- Develop practical toolkits, resources, and workshops to help employees build clear career development goals and align them with organizational needs
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of development frameworks that connect individual growth with business outcomes
Learning Design and Delivery
- Design and develop engaging learning activities and compelling course content using adult learning principles
- Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions to drive engagement and outcomes
- Partner with subject matter experts to create quality programs for self-paced and instructor-led delivery (virtual and in-person), including needs assessments, learning objectives, course outlines, and content
- Develop assessments (tests, quizzes, assignments) to measure learning impact and integrate evaluation methods into programs
- Ensure all learning content aligns with organizational standards and competency expectations
Instructional Development and Support
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of all learning materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness
- Produce learner resources such as user guides, quick reference tools, and job aids
- Record and edit instructional videos and tutorials
- Provide virtual classroom support in Microsoft Teams or other virtual platforms
- Edit and format documents according to organizational standards
Qualifications
Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong ability to design and deliver training solutions that connect learning with career development and organizational competency frameworks
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and career development practices
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360) and experience developing both e-learning and instructor-led content is an asset
- Strong facilitation skills across multiple modalities
- Visual design and technical skills (graphic design, animation, AV, simulations, HTML/JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset
- Strong communication skills, with ability to write, edit, and present to diverse audiences
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Experience with SuccessFactors or other talent management systems is an asset.
- Construction industry experience is considered an asset
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Adult Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in learning and instructional design, with exposure to career development frameworks or competency models preferred
