Graham is actively recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our Infrastructure Division. In this role, you will play a key part in processing vendor and subtrade invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting Operations and Accounting teams. Reporting to the Operations Accountant, you will handle data entry, scanning, and compliance‑related tasks, ensuring work aligns with established procedures. You will also represent the Accounts Payable function and provide leadership support to teammates when needed.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
- Process Vendor and Subtrade Invoices: Perform accurate data entry, scanning, and clerical tasks to support day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring all transactional accounting activities meet established standards
- Ensure Compliance and Proper Approvals: Review invoices for correct coding, ensure required approvals are in place, and apply applicable federal/provincial taxes and company policies to maintain compliance
- Support Payment Processing and Issue Resolution: Assist with reviewing payment runs, vendor master setups, vendor refunds, and identifying anomalies; escalate or follow up as needed
- Maintain Strong Vendor and Internal Relationships: Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, buyers, and Operations Accounting teams, ensuring timely communication and support
- Contribute to Process Improvement and Team Support: Participate in ad hoc projects, recommend improvements to AP procedures, and provide leadership support to teammates in the absence of the Accounts Payable Manager
The Right Tools for the Job
- Education & Knowledge: High school diploma required; additional training or education in Business Administration preferred. Strong understanding of Invoicing process, Accounts Payable processes, MS Excel, ERP systems, SAP, and UAT testing.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a similar-sized organization; previous team lead or supervisory exposure considered an asset.
- Skills & Competencies: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, strong communication skills, great team player, good interpersonal skills, ability to meet deadlines, and proficiency in data entry with sound judgment in applying accounting policies and tax regulations.
