About The Role

 

Reporting to the Technical Application Architect - Enterprise Applications, the ABAP Developer will work as a member of the Enterprise Applications - SAP Development team, providing mainly SAP software development and support in an agile environment. The individual should have good experience developing and modifying ABAP programs, enhancements, OO objects, gateway services and interfaces while ensuring the use of best practices and latest SAP technology and development techniques. Working knowledge on S/4HANA system and the latest SAP UX tools (Fiori and SAPUI5) is beneficial.

 

As an ABAP Developer at Graham you will be responsible to:

 

  • Develop new and modifying existing ABAP programs, enhancements, OO ABAP objects, gateway services and interfaces in S/4HANA
  • Support of SAP S/4HANA modules: FI, CO, MM, SD, HR, PM, PS
  • Work closely with both functional and business analyst teams to understand the business requirements and develop a custom solution
  • Debugging and performance tuning of complex work process
  • Development using ABAP workbench, WebIDE and HANA Studio/Eclipse tools
  • Build custom and extend standard Fiori apps (SAPUI5), along with its backend OData services
  • Utilize latest S/4 HANA technologies to create new and extend existing CDS views and AMDPs
  • Develop and maintain HANA DB functions, calculation views and stored procedures
  • Involvement on both new project development and sustainment/support work
  • Develop new and enhance existing integrations between SAP and non-sap systems (using PI and Rest APIs)

 

To be Successful at Graham, you will have the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • A B.Sc. in Computer Science, MIS, (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an ABAP Programmer (ECC 6.0 and higher - S/4HANA beneficial)
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming language and development tools
  • Extensive experience in RICEFW objects
  • Good problem solving, data analysis and communication skills (written and oral)
  • The ability to write efficient, maintainable code that conforms to internal development standards
  • An understanding of object-oriented development, Software Development Life Cycle and transactional database design is preferred
  • Be highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Enjoy learning new technologies
  • The ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • A desire to learn the details of the construction and engineering industry
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have experience in:
    • S/4HANA OData services
    • SAP Fiori (HTML5/SAPUI5)
    • CDS Views and/or AMDPs
