Business Development Manager – Services Division
Summary:
Graham is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Services Division, with a primary focus on delivering Maintenance, Turnarounds, Construction, and Fabrication within the Industrial and Energy sectors. Reporting to the Pre-Construction/Business Development Director, this role is responsible for identifying new opportunities, leading and supporting proposal efforts, and building strong relationships across core and emerging markets. The ideal candidate brings deep regional market knowledge, with a proven ability to network, represent the company at industry events and presentations, and align client needs with Graham’s broader business strategy.
In this Role, you will:
Drive Business Growth
- Identify, pursue, and expand new and existing opportunities across core and emerging markets, with a focus on Maintenance, Turnarounds, Construction, and Fabrication
- Set targets, track progress, and implement strategies to maximize growth potential
- Provide market insights to influence business direction and identify emerging opportunities
Support Proposals & Lead Presentations
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to prepare proposals and presentations that address client priorities
- Contribute insights and historical project knowledge to strengthen submissions
- Advise and collaborate with mid- and senior-level management on trends, solutions, and opportunities
Engage Clients & Markets
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client partnerships that position Graham as a trusted services provider
- Represent Graham at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Spot market trends and uncover opportunities for innovative services and solutions
Collaborate & Strategize Internally
- Partner with internal teams to design solutions that meet client needs and strengthen retention
- Support team development by mentoring or guiding colleagues in pursuit processes and opportunity management
- Participate in pricing strategies and contract discussions, ensuring alignment with client needs and business objectives
- Drive internal programs, reporting, and analyses to optimize opportunity management
Key Success Factors: Capabilities, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Business or a related or a related field, with an MBA or other advanced degree considered a strong asset
- 7-10 years demonstrated experience in business development within industrial or energy sectors, ideally with exposure to Maintenance, Turnarounds, Construction, and Fabrication
- Strong understanding of regional markets, clients, competitors, and industry trends
- Ability to cultivate long-term client partnerships and strategically influence business outcomes
- Experience supporting proposals, presentations, and business growth initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company confidently at industry events and client meetings
- Strategic thinker who can provide market insights and support internal decision-making
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor colleagues and contribute to a high-performing business development function
