About the Role:

The Project Engineer is responsible for reviewing and coordinating submittals from Vendors and Subcontractors, coordination and understanding of contract drawings to field staff, quality control functions and other support functions of the Proejct Management and Field Operations of a project. The inital project will be located in Pagosa Springs. This is a task-based role that requires working knowledge of core elements of construction projects, the ability to read contract drawings, and the ability to use project managment general software as well a project specific cloud based document coordination. This role will be based out of the Southern Division Office in Salida, CO and could require that potential candidate works at the Jobsite full time.   

 

As a Project Engineer at Moltz Construction Inc., you will:

    • Perform a variety of duties including daily reporting, and quality control management tasks as assigned
    • Work with Project Managers/on-site Superintendent to coordinate contract documents to field staff
    • Monitor project change management process, identify change events, and track changes to the project documents
    • Assist with drawings, drawing records, revisions, and site instructions
    • Support Superintendent with creating templates and supporting documents on behalf of project team regarding roles and responsibilities
    • Record change orders and update site drawings
    • Maintain QA/QC and Safety records

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade Certification or Technical Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field experience is required.
  • 2-3 years construction experience is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficient in modeling software a plus but not required.
  • Strong math skills.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary $78k-$100k based on experience
