Jardeg is hiring Mine Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be on 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi and much more!
Mine Heavy Equipment Operators safely operate dozers, excavators and/or loaders as required. But not limited to operating – tooling equipment needs supporting HET techs start up and recovery of machines as well, as providing snow clearing services where required.
Mine Heavy Equipment Operators Responsibilities:
- Recognize and report machine defects to FLS to proactively address scope creep potential.
- Support GET technicians in GET change out when required.
- Support with cold weather start-up of machines. Ensure units are appropriately hoarded and heated when required. HET will complete start-up in weather > -20c
- Deliver/pick-up of tools and equipment from various locations in the MSF footprint. As role develops future consideration will be made to transport units from the active mine area and LD3
- Deliver parts and components to the work face as requested by the FLS, technicians and materials coordinator.
- Support technicians with running checks on machines.
- Assist with general clean up in the yard and shop.
- Assist with ensuring maintenance yards are organized.
- Deliver and pick up light vehicles from maintenance facility.
- Assist with snow clean up at the maintenance yards using such equipment as the bobcat tool cat, loaders, and skid steers.
- Assist ancillary coordinator with any tooling or equipment needs.
- A demonstrated commitment to working safely
- Ability to work in team environment.
- But not limited to operating – tooling EQ needs supporting HET techs start up and recovery of machines
- Mining experience- MUST
- Dozer experience (Cat D9 D10 D11 and Komatsu)
- Grader experience (Cat)
- Articulated truck (Cat and Volvo)
- Loader experience (Cat)
- Excavator experience (Cat and John Deere)
- Haul truck experience (Cat)- Asset
Minimum Requirements:
- Standard First Aid Level A or C
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Energy Safety Canada- Common Safety Orientation
- Overhead Crane
- Basic Rigging - In Person
- Must complete satisfactory Drug & Alcohol test
- Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo Awareness
- Basic Rigging- In Person
- Telehandler Certificate.
- Forklift Certificate.
- Skid steer Certificate.
- Hiab picker training- Asset
