Job Description: 

Jardeg is hiring Electricians Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be on 14 days on, 14 days off, 12 hours per day. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! 

 

 

Electricians Journeypersons Read and interpret drawings, schematics, electrical code specific to electrical equipment layout. Tests, examines and install electrical components, wiring, receptables, switches and other electrical controls. Work with cutting, threading, bending, assembling and installing conduits and other conductors and fittings.

Electricians Journeypersons Responsibilities:

 

  • Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime
  • Work with motors, VFDs, transformers, lighting systems, and grounding systems
  • Ensure all work complies with Alberta Electrical Code, CSA standards, and Suncor policies
  • Complete work permits, hazard assessments (FLHA), lockout/tagout, and safety documentation
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and other trades to support plant reliability
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and environmental stewardship
  • Mine and Tailings experience an asset
  • Well experience an asset

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Standard First Aid Must be in person (Level A or C) / Emergency first aid (Level C or A)
  • Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation
  • Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space & Monitor
  • Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
  • Basic Rigging
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Journeyperson Ticket
