Jardeg is accepting resumes for future Carpenter Journeyperson opportunities, to join the team at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital Redevelopment in Williams Lake, BC. This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to be home every night through the winter and maybe beyond.

 

The schedule is 5 days on 2 days off. The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the project. This position does not have camp accommodations or travel allowance. 

 

As a Carpenter Journeyperson, your responsibilties are as below but not limited to:

 

  • Build forms for concrete
  • Cut, shape, and join.
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
  • Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
  • Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
  • Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • CSTS 2020
  • WHIMIS
  • Fall Protection is an asset
  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal OR proof of hours
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
