We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Labourer who has concrete experience to join the team at the Cambie Street Bridge Project in Vancouver!


Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Cut, drill, and chip concrete using tools like power saws, drills, and jackhammers
  • Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete using tools like pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools
  • Operate other power tools like the vibrator to compact concrete
  • Assist with concrete pours
  • Assist with concrete formwork and stripping formwork
  • Operate the telehandler and/or mobile elevated work platforms
  • General site cleanup and housekeeping
  • Review work area for damages
  • Assist with other duties as required

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Experience with operating a Telehandler & Elevated Work Platforms considered an asset
  • Experience using power tools required
  • Must have safety tickets: CSTS/ WHMIS, & Fall Pro
  • Experience working with concrete is considered an asset
  • Able to lift 50 lbs regularly 
  • Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, walk on uneven ground
  • Capable of learning through on-the-job training
  • Reliable transportation
  • Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
