Rate: $27.45 to $45.75 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday - OT as per site needs

We are currently accepting resumes at this time for future opportunities for Carpenter Journeypersons & Apprentices to join the team at one of the projects in the Lower Mainland, BC! 

 

This position is in Lower Mainland, BC and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.

 

This is a 5 and 2 schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

 

AS A CARPENTER JOURNEYPERSON OR APPRENTICE, YOU WILL:

  • Build forms for concrete 
  • Cut, shape, and join
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
  • Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
  • Studies blueprints for work planning
  • Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
  • Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
  • General site upkeep

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket or is a Registered Carpenter Apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Experience with concrete formwork required
  • Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
  • Fall Protection is an asset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
