Jardeg is recruiting a Steamfitter/Pipefitter Journeyperson to join the Cenovus Upgrader in Lloydminster, SK project team until October 28th, 2026. Rotation is 9 days on and 5 days off 12 hours/day, on day shift. Living Out Allowance and travel allowance will be available for the qualified candidate. 

 

Reporting to site supervision, the successful candidate will perform maintenance, repair, installation, inspection, and troubleshooting activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
 

As a Steamfitter/Pipefitter your key responsibilities include but is not limited to:

 

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems and associated equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and work packages.
  • Perform flange management, valve installation, bolt-up, and gasket replacement.
  • Execute pressure testing, inspections, and commissioning activities.
  • Mentor apprentices and promote safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with refinery and company safety requirements.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Valid Journeyperson Steamfitter/Pipefitter Certificate or recognized Provincial/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification.
  • Previous Oil and Gas, and construction experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used in pipefitting.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

  • Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
  • Energy Safety Canada Elevated Work Platform
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
  • Standard First Aid
  • WHMIS (2015)
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial refinery environment.
  • Physically capable of lifting, climbing, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
