Jardeg is currently recruiting  Pipefitter Apprentices to join the Integrated Constructors Inc team at the Cenovus Birch Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, Conklin Alberta.

 

The work scope includes, but is not limited to, executing rehabilitation projects for existing storage facilities, encompassing condition assessments, repairs, upgrades, and other improvement activities.

 

***Travel allowance $300 per shift rotation***

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Read and interpret drawings or blueprints to determine layout requirements.
  • Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors and ceilings using power tools.
  • Select the type and size of pipe needed and cut, bend or thread the pipe according to specifications.
  • Fabricate sections of piping systems by welding, brazing or soldering pieces together.
  • Test systems for leaks using specialized testing equipment.
  • Clean and maintain pipe systems by using flushing systems.
  • Remove and replace worn-out pipes.
  • Experience with PVC glued pipe systems and assisted with small-bore HDPE pipe installation and maintenance.

 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

 

  • CSTS 2020 with WHMIS
  • H2S Alive
  • Confine space
  • Aerial work Platform (AWP)
  • Fall protection
  • Pipefitter Apprenticeship certification in good standing
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
