We are currently recruiting for a Surveyor to join our teaam in Saskatoon!
Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – overtime as needed.
**Please Note**- travel throughout SK is a requirement for the position and you may be required to travel to assist other projects in Regina, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, etc. (travel and living allowance may be provided for locations outside of Saskatoon as per company policy).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for surveying the earth to determine precise location and measurement of points, researching survey evidence, developing new data, maintaining accurate notes and coordinate findings. This can often be physically demanding, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, or climbing.
- Provide technical information to company supervisors to ensure findings reported comply with engineering standards and other site requirements
- Researches previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence and other records to obtain data needed to survey.
- Develops new data from photo gram metric records
- Determines methods and procedures for establishing or re-establishing survey control
- Maintains accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed
- Coordinates findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects

Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff i.e., forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hangers and supports, etc.

Assist with performing layout work competently and accurately.

Provide checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.

Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities. Assist with conducting quantity calculations as required.

Maintain condition and adjustment of surveying equipment.

Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Requirements:
- 4 or more years previous experience working in land and civil surveying
- knowledge of mathematics, physics, and computer science.
- knowledge of land use legislation
- strong written communication and report writing skill
