Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Journeyperson for work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa project in Whitecap, Sk!

 

The Thermal Spa will be the first of its kind in Saskatchewan, and the first Indigenous-themed thermal spa in Canada.

The spa will offer an authentic experience rooted in Dakota customs and traditions, featuring thermal water therapy, saunas, steam rooms, cold plunge pools, hot tubs, and relaxation areas throughout the facility.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Build forms for concrete
  • Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Pouring and finishing concrete
  • Backing, hoarding removal, parapet caps, decking, handrails
  • Cut, shape and join
  • Layout-measuring, marking and arranging of various construction materials
  • Checks accuracy of work and adjusts as required
  • Working from and studying blueprints for work planning
  • Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
    Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Commercial carpentry experience
  • CSTS and WHIMIS certifications
  • Fall Protection is an asset
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
