Jardeg is recruiting for Equipment Operators for upcoming work with JCL Industrial Constructors to build the BHP Jansen Potash Mine near Leroy, SK.
BHP’s Jansen Potash Project is located near Saskatoon, SK (approximately 140 kilometers East of Saskatoon) and BHP’s first and most advanced potash project and it will be the world’s largest potash mine once completed. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence for Canadian companies supplying goods and services for this major economic development. Jansen Stage 1 is the first of four potential phases and includes an initial investment of CAD$7.5 billion. Once Jansen Stage 1 commences production in 2026, it will generate 4.35 megatons of potash every year.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Competent to operator different equipment including but not limited to Skid Steer, Front End Loader, Telehandler, etc.
- Miscellaneous skidsteer work, including but not limited to backfilling and final grading.
- Loader duties include loading and offloading trailers, backfilling, stockpiling, etc.
- Telehandler duties include loading and offloading, site support, equipment maintenance, etc.
- Properly maintain and service equipment as required
- Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
- Identify safety risks and hazards on site.
- Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment
Requirements:
- CSTS-2020 / SCOT
- WHMIS
- Ground Disturbance
- Telehandler/ZoomBoom ticket
- Valid Driver's License
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
