Tidewater is a western Canadian midstream company focused on natural gas processing, liquids upgrading, storage and transportation and marketing.

 

Jardeg has an expression of interest for a Journeyperson Insulator for maintenance work at Tidewater Plant near Rocky Mountain House

 

Insulators apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g., calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g., duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).

 

Only candidates that live locally to the Rocky Mountain House area will be considered

 

  • The role works a 9-day 80 hour schedule every two weeks.  
    • Week one Monday to Thursday 9 hours per day, Friday is an 8-hour day.
    • Week two Monday to Thursday 9 hours per day.
  • Work starts at 8:00 a.m. at the plant site.
  • Plant site is approximately 40 minutes Southwest of Rocky.
  • Transportation is provided from Rocky.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Install, maintain, and repair insulation on a variety of equipment, pipelines, vessels, and structures.
  • Safely and accurately use hand and power-operated tools and equipment relevant to the insulation trade.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to plan insulation projects effectively.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the installation, fitting, fabrication, and attachment of insulation, finishing, and weatherproofing materials to meet the highest standard of workmanship.
  • Collaborate with project teams to determine insulation requirements, select suitable materials, and implement efficient installation methods.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Journeyperson Insulator certification or Journeyperson proof of hours.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Insulator, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insulation materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
