Reporting to site supervision, the role of Material Handler/Labourer will be expected to start on June 13 working 10 hours per day on a 4/3 shift until July and then go to a 6/1 rotation until Sept.  This position will perform general material handler work for an Outage at our client’s facility located at Joffre.

 

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years plant experience and/or construction experience in a Shipping and Receiving role will be considered an asset
  • Able to meet conditions outlined on the Physical Demands Analysis
  • Achieve 100% completion of mandatory Quinn and client training
  • Previous experience working with SAP considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office considered an asset
  • Must posses a valid Alberta Driver’s License
  • Pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
  • Training Required: CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, Confined Space

  • Responsible for preparation of shipping and documentation
  • Responsible for receiving materials, document processing, parts issuing and inventory control
  • Maintain relations with Customer and fellow employees through effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to provide excellent punctuality and attendance
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime upon Customer request
  • Joffre Site experience and familiarity with site safety policy and procedure is considered an asset
