The Stuart Lake Hospital Redevelopment Project will result in development of a new hospital to serve Fort St. James and surrounding area including First Nations communities of the Takla Lake First Nation, Tl’azt’en Nation, Binche Whut’en First Nation, Nak’azdli Whut’en, and Yekooche First Nation.

We are currently looking for Surveyors for commercial building uses of a robotic total station. Elevation layout.  

Must be willing to do other duties on site ,possibly office work ( QA/QC, document control pour watch.)  or site works ( carpentry or general labor) 

Responsibilities:

• Survey with total station and GPS for construction layout and as-builts as required by project.
• Upkeep on equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Complete and file daily reports as required daily for tracking of hours for project purposes
• Operate and maintain a vehicle
• Survey equipment set-up and operations
• Record measurements and other information related to the survey work

Inventory check of all equipment prior to the day’s work, after each job during the day and at the end of the day

Requirements:

• Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in the construction industry. Legal experience is an asset.
• Proficient use and knowledge of Trimble RTK, Robotic Total Stations and related software.
• Ability to process field data and day to day administrative tasks.
• Strong problem solving skills utilizing Trimble Access.
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new technical skills.
• Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills.

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• CSTS 2020,
• ESC Fall Protection 
• ESC EWP
