Jardeg is recruiting for a Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentices to join the Cenovus Lloydminster team at the refinery in Alberts for projects. We have an 8-week position starting January 05 and ending the end of February. This would be a 9-on 5-off-10 hour per day rotation.

As a Steamfitter/Pipefitter your key responsibilities include but is not limited to:

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Apprentice Pipefitter/Steamfitter certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Pipefitter, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used in pipefitting.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

  • Apprentice Steamfitter/Pipefitter Ticket
  • CSTS 2020
  • Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
  • AWP
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • WHMIS (2015)
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
