Jardeg Construction is looking for Crane Operator Journeyperson to join the Cenovus Upgrader Lloydminster, SK maintenance team. The shift will be on days and rotation will be 9 days on and 5 days off, 10 hours a day.

 

Overview of Crane:

 

This 15-ton diesel carry deck crane is compact with a low-profile design that clears overhead obstructions and maneuvers in tight spaces. It's 4-wheel steering option allows for a very tight turning radius for quick positioning in constrained spaces. Further, this pick and carry deck crane has a large, self-loading cargo deck ideal for transporting heavy objects on the job. The maximum carry capacity is 16,200 lbs and the horizontal reach is 37’/51’. This unit is adaptable for a wide variety of applications including industrial and manufacturing plants, equipment maintenance & repair, industrial & mechanical contractors, as well as general construction. Altogether, the carry deck crane is an ideal machine for your heavy lifting in constrained environments. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Run mobile cranes (including ~15-ton carry deck cranes or larger 100-ton units) for lifting and moving materials
  • Safely lift, transport, and place steel, equipment, and components in tight refinery spaces
  • Use other machinery like skid steers when needed
  • Help ironworkers, pipefitters, and maintenance crews during downtime or when lifts aren’t required
  • Performing critical lifts for maintenance and repairs
  • Working in tight, congested plant areas (pipes, structures, vessels everywhere)
  • Communicating with riggers / signalers (hand signals, radios), supervisors and other trades
  • Doing pre-lift planning (load weight, radius, hazards)
  • Completing equipment nspections before each shift

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • CSO or Common Safety Orientation 
  • CSTS- 2020
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
  • Energy Safety CanadaFall Protection 
  • Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
  • Journeyperson Ticket
  • Valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License - No restrictions
  • 3 Year’s Driver’s Abstract
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
