Jardeg Construction is recruiting a Ironworker Journeyperson to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. at SHELL Scotford maintenance scope near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This is a long term maintenance position starting asap, with a Monday to Thursday, 10 hours/day shift schedule.
As an Ironworker your key responsibilities include but is not limited to:
- Erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.
- Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures
- Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
- ESC Fall Protection
- ESC Confined Space Entry & Monitor
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- Journeyperson Ironworker (generalist, structural or ornamental) certification.
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
