Jardeg Construction is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Insulators to join the team near Cold Lake Alberta on a 10 days on 4 days off shift with 10 hours a day schedule.
Journeyperson Insulators that live in the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area are preferred
Imperial Oil Cold Lake has been in operation for 45 years and has close to 400 employees and over ~1000 contracted workers including workers from indigenous businesses. Covering 780 square kilometers (about 300 square miles), Cold Lake is one of the largest thermals in situ operations in the world and supplies our Strathcona Refinery and refineries across Canada and the United States, so they can create the fuel, asphalt and products that keep life running.
Insulators apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g., calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g., duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of insulation, finishing and weatherproofing materials to a high standard of workmanship
- Measure and cut insulating material to required dimensions using hand and power tools
- install soundproofing systems; recognize insulation and air barrier systems, materials and their application.

- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
