Job Title:  HRIS Specialist - Jardeg
Calgary, AB Canada

 

Reporting to the Lead HRIS Specialist, the Workforce Services Specialist 3 is responsible for supporting people related information and system needs. The incumbent possesses knowledge of Success Factors and SAP, has exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with company policies and procedures. The incumbent will be part of a team that maintains and updates the organizational structure and employee data processes, tests system upgrades, and provides critical reporting to the organization.

 

Essential Functions

  • Work as part of the HR Systems team to manage organizational and employee data, follow workflow processes, and provide technical support and troubleshooting on the core HR system (Success Factors)
  • Test all changes and upgrades related to HR Systems master data annually and on an ad hoc basis
  • Collaborate with IT, Payroll, Business Analysts, and HR as the first point of contact for system upgrades and changes
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements on processes and procedures to support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Audit employee data to identify errors and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with other HR subject matter experts on a variety of HR organizational development initiatives
  • Act as an expert in own area of technical and functional expertise, ensuring the validity and integrity of data within the system
  • Collaborate with HR Systems team on craft and union position management
  • Collaborate with the Lead HRIS Specialist on a variety of projects


Education, Experience and Knowledge

  • Completion of a university degree in a technical / business / scientific field of study or equivalent is required; degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred
  • 5-7 years of prior ERP, HR, or HRIS experience in a mid to large organization
  • Proficiency with SAP and Success Factors is required
  • Understanding of and familiarity with other HR functions and processes
  • Familiarity with union structures is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and commitment to a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a solution-focused mindset
  • Collaborate within team to achieve strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgement, and the ability to use discretion and diplomacy while maintaining confidentiality, ethics, and company standards
