Jardeg is recruiting Welder 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice to join the Heartland Constructors Suncor Fort Hills Maintenance OPP project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary, full-time position on a 7/7 shift schedule, 12 hours/day, day shift only, start date will be September 04th and end date November 13th, 2025.
Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders, as well as clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.
Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:
- Welder Apprenticeship 2nd or 3rd year certificate
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or BSO or OSSA Regional Orientation
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Elevated Work Platform
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space
- Energy Safety Canada Certified Fire Watch
- Energy Safety Canada Certified H2S Awareness
- Telehandler
- Overhead Crane & Rigging
- Driver’s License and a clean 3 year Driver’s Abstract
