Jardeg is currently recruiting a Scaffolder Journeyperson to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Albian site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. 
Experience the excitement of a fly-in, fly-out role, with charter flights conveniently arranged from either Calgary or Edmonton. Embrace a well-balanced routine through a 7-days on and 7-days off rotation, where each workday spans 12-hours, including two 30-minute breaks (one paid and one unpaid).

A scaffolder Journeyperson will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

 

  • Practice safe and secure scaffold access without compromising on safety
  • Communicate effectively with both staff and supervision to ensure expectations are met
  • Design scaffolds to site requirements, material specifications and CSA standards
  • Safe work practices in the industrial environment with knowledge of Task Hazard Assessments
  • Fully competent with assembling, dismantling and modifying System (Layer/Ring Lock) and Tube & Clamp scaffolds
  • Knowledge of isometric drawings an asset
  • Supporting colleagues and participating in skills transfer 
  • Prioritizing daily workload with managing materials efficiently


Preferred Requirements

 

  • Scaffold Certificate affiliation is preferred
  • Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
  • Basic Rigging Certification
  • Valid Government Issued Identification
