Jardeg is recruiting Rope Access Technicians with a Journeyperson Welding ticket for future opportunities in various locations within Alberta. For sites located North of Fort McMurray, charter travel is provided, whereas sites close to municipal areas can be drive-in/drive out. Some sites offer living out allowance and during turnaround season may include travel allowance, daily overtime and retention bonuses. Rope Access Technicians used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in rope access techniques and equipment
  • Solid technical skills as a Rope Access Technician is ideal.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on structures and equipment at heights using rope access techniques.
  • Conduct rigging and rope systems for safe access and egress
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification is required.
  • Welder Journeyperson Ticket
  • Satisfactory Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
  • ESC Common Safety Orientation  
  • ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness  
  • ESC Confined Space & Monitor
  • Basic Rigging (In person) through approved vender. 
  • Valid Driver’s License
