Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons for various project sites in the Province of Alberta. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Maintenance and Turnaround group.

 

Opportunities may include fly-in/fly-out, drive-in/drive-out and local roles, which depending on the scope of work may provide camp accommodations, LOA or other travel incentives. We often recruit for both long term and short term positions, which allows more flexibility for you.

As a Pipefitter your key responsibilities include but is not limited to:

 

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.

  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Pipefitter/Steamfitter certification.

  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Pipefitter, preferably in industrial or construction settings.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used in pipefitting.

  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09

  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor

  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection

  • Basic Rigging Certification

  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Aerial Work Platform

  • First Aid

  • WHMIS
