Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Journeypersons for the Spring Turnaround at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The Pipefitter Journeyperson Base Rate is $51.05/hr. This position starts May 13th on a 6/1 shift rotation working 12 hours per day. The approximated end date is June 18th. Overtime is paid at time and a half for anytime worked over 8 hours a day and/or over 40 hour a week. There is both day shift and night shift positions. There is a $3.00/hr premium for night shift. This is a camp position with flights out of Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs. There is travel allowance provided for out of province candidates.

As a Pipefitter Journeyperson your responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
  • Follow various Client policies & procedures including adherence to requirements of ISO 9001-2000.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified Pipefitter Journeyperson.
  • CSTS 09 or Common Safety Orientation
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Basic Rigging.
  • Valid Goverment Issued Photo ID
