Jardeg is recruiting a Mechanical General Foreperson for Heartland Constructors Inc. to join the CNRL Horizon team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a permanent position. 7 days on, 7 days off shift rotation. Camp accommodations and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) provided by the company. 

 

The Mechanical General Foreperson is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities on a construction project site as delineated in the applicable project execution procedures, site specific safety plan and project execution plan.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and coordinate construction activities on a job site
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of project procedures, schedules, cost controls and reporting
  • Request and coordinate movement of tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and lead times
  • Identify potential changes to project scope and advises project superintendent of associated impacts
  • Assist in the coordination and planning of projects in a particular construction area
  • Monitor contractors, trades performance, progress and productivity
  • Ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Trade Certificate is an asset
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
