Jardeg is recruiting a Materials Technician to join the maintenance team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a permanent position on a 7/7 day shift rotation, working 12 hours per day. All hours worked on the regular maintenance schedule are paid at straight time. Camp accommodation is provided at the Richardson camp, all rooms have a private washroom, and the camp is walking distance to the site footprint. Flights are provided from the Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs.

As a Materials Technician your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of the proper procedural methods for the safe handling and warehousing of all classes of parts and materials
- Adapt and develop ability to move with confidence between sectors of the trade
- Assess problems and provide corrective measures as they occur
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to transfer materials as a representative of the warehouse team
- Participate in inventory management through accurate counts and the delivery of all materials
- Utilize and maintain the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Mill Test Reports (MTR)
- Operate, inspect and maintain material handling equipment
- Keep a clean & organized work area
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
- Material Technician Apprentice/Journeyperson (Considered an Asset)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and experience operating a forklift
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with a warehouse management system (E1, Maximo, SAP, Oracle Systems, etc.) considered an asset
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
- Loader / Zoomboom / Skidsteer experience and certificate
- Basic Rigging
