Jardeg is recruiting an Equipment Operator with experience operating forklifts to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Suncor Firebag site near. The shift is on days and rotation is 7 days on and 7 days off, 12 hours/day.
Equipment Operators - are expected to safely and efficiently operator heavy machinery which involves performing daily checks, basic mechanical upkeep, interpreting plans, following safety protocols, working outdoors in all conditions and communicating with their team to move materials, grade land, or complete complex tasks.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies and procedures.
- Move material operating Fork lift mainly
- Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
- Communicate and review hand signals with spotter.
- Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment.
- Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
- Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current and valid Fortklift certificate
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation). BSO & OSSA Regional Orientation also considered an equivalent.
- ESC Approved Fall Protection
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- WHMIS 2015
- H2S Awareness via Energy Safety Canada (if no ESC H2S Alive) via Energy Safety Canada
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness Basic via Energy Safety Canada
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Intermediate - via Energy Safety Canada (must complete Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness first)
- Valid Full Class 3 Driver’s License - No restrictions
- 3 Year’s Driver’s Abstract
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
