Jardeg is recruiting B-Pressure Rig Welders to join the Heartland Constructors turnaround team at the Suncor Firebag site, near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a Spring Turnaround event, starting on May 05th going until May 13th, shifts are 12 hours on a 6/1 rotation. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi and much more!. 

 

Rig Welders - are expected to be proficient with double jointing, position welding, and roll welding on both pipe and pipe fittings. Welding will be completed in both yard and field environment. Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when material is available 
  • Use welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW to weld pressure piping 
  • Some welds may be customized while others may consist of repetitive procedures 


Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding Trade
  • Certified B-Pressure Ticket
  • Energy Safety Canada CSO
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
  • Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo / Wildlife awareness
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask Fit Test
  • Other Tickets may be required; to be determined by scope.
