Jardeg is recruiting Tool Crib Attendants to join the Heartland Constructors turnaround team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! The successful candidate would be working 11.5 hours per day (8 hours regular time, 3.5 hours OT). The turnaround execution will be approximately from May 5th, 2025 - May 28th, 2025 on a 24/4 rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all parts and materials as required
- Oversee the use of tools in the crib and ensure the tools are properly signed for and returned as they are used
- Maintain inventory of tools, inspect tools and equipment to ensure items are in working order
- Load and unload materials and equipment; Inspect all incoming materials and tools
- Maintain clear records of tools and equipment usage; Use and maintain the designated information and tracking system
- Track all PPE and equipment issued for costing purposes
- Ensure work instructions and safe work procedures are followed
- Identify tools and equipment using identification tags
- Identify, analyze and propose solutions to material and tool issues
- Responsible for keeping the tool crib area secure
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Prepare requisitions to replenish low inventory
- Ensuring the proper handling, sorting and preparation of tools for work
- Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment
- Perform general housekeeping and daily clean-up of work area
- Dedicated team player.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to successfully clear a drug and alcohol test
- To be mechanically inclined to fix small hand power tools
- Proficient with computer programs pertaining to Shipping/Receiving and on-line orders through procurement.
- Previous electrical component experience considered an asset
- Ability to multi-task, with experience responding to changing deadlines/priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience: Tool crib, warehouse attendant experience considered an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
