Jardeg is recruiting Millwright Journeyperson to join the Heartland Constructors team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi and much more!. The positions are for our spring TURN AROUND STARTING IN MAY.
Recruiters will begin making calls six weeks prior to the execution dates for the different event.
Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
- Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments
- Perform predictive and operational procedures
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a journeyperson welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Millwright Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
- Energy Safety Canada CSO
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo / Wildlife awareness
- Basic Rigging - In Person
- Overhead Crane - In Person
- First Aid - Level A or C
- Valid Driver's License
- Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test
- Mask Fit Test
- Other Tickets may be required; to be determined by scope.
